East Timor, the world's newest nation, has had a significant relationship with Australia for over 60 years. To recognise Refugee Week 2003 the Australian National Maritime Museum in partnership with AUSTCARE is hosting a lecture on East Timor by AUSTCARE CEO Michael G Smith AO.

Students' Art Exhibition - Food for Thought
18 - 27 October 2003
The Refugee Art Project Food for Thought is being organised by AUSTCARE and held in schools across NSW. Students have been invited to design a poster or mural exploring global refugee issues, inspired by concepts such as 'imagine you could ask a refugee child your age, a question'.
The winners, runners-up and a selection of other artwork will be on display during Refugee Week at the Australian National Maritime Museum, Darling Harbour.
