Abstract:Mai, who was adopted into an American family from a Saigon orphanage during the Vietnam War, takes a journey back to Vietnam with her adopted American mother. The longer she stays in Vietnam, the more Mai questions her identity and where she belongs. The journey becomes one of seeking herself, an individual now with two names and two cultures.
