Racism. No way! (RNW) has a new competition with a new format to give Australian school students the opportunity to submit their own multi-media anti-racism messages via digital film or DVD. Entries may be submitted individually or by teams of up to 5 students from the same school. Winning entries will be published on the Racism. No way! site

The competition has two categories

  • 12 years or under
  • 13 years or over
Prizes include backpacks, beanies, caps, t-shirts, mouse mats and more. All entrants will receive a Participation Certificate.

Terms and Criteria

  1. Participation in this competition implies an acceptance of the terms and conditions of entry.
  2. Entry is open only to students enrolled in Australian schools.
  3. Entries may be from individual students or teams of up to five students from the same school. If team members' ages fall across the two age groups then the work must be entered in the 13 years or older category.
  4. Your video must:
    • be between 45 to 60 seconds in length
    • be submitted electronically or posted on DVD
    • include one completed entry form
    • use original or copyright free images
    • use original or copyright free music
  5. Closing dates are always the last Monday of Terms 2 and 4.
  6. Each semester, valid entries are judged on merit according to their originality and audiovisual quality and the effectiveness of the anti-racism message.
  7. The best valid entry per age category receives a RNW kit. Second and third prizes are also awarded on merit for each age category. Only one prize per entrant will be awarded. Prizes cannot be redeemed for cash.
  8. If for any reason, the advertised prizes are unavailable, RNW reserves the right to substitute the prize for another item or items of equal or greater value.
  9. To protect the privacy of individual entrants, prizes will only be sent to winning students through their schools at the address included on the online entry form. RNW takes no responsibility for incorrect school addresses submitted by entrants.
  10. All entries become the property of RNW. By entering, participants consent to RNW reproducing entries for promotional purposes.

Create your entry

Individually, or in teams of up to five members, create an original video of between 45 - 60 seconds in length which conveys an anti-racism message.

Submit it with a completed entry form to Racism. No way! electronically or by post.
All entrants will receive a Participation Certificate.

Entries close on the last Monday of each semester - Terms 2 and 4.

Prizes

1st prize includes a bag, cap or beanie, mouse- mat, white or black t-shirt, pen, bookmarks and stickers. 2nd prize includes a mousemat, cap or beanie, white or black t-shirt, pen, bookmarks and stickers.
  
 3rd prize includes a cap or beanie, a white or black t-shirt, pen, bookmarks and stickers.
