Who we are

The Racism. NoWay! project has been developed to help school communities find information and resources to combat racism in the learning environment. The site is managed by the NSW Department of Education. Our website address is: http://www.racismnoway.com.au.

We are committed to protecting the safety and security of the personal information provided to us. Please read this Privacy Policy carefully in order to understand how any personal information collected by us is used.

What personal data we collect and why we collect it

We primarily collect your personal information directly from you through correspondence that we engage in with you, primarily via online forms, telephone conversations and emails. We do not seek to collect information about you from third parties.

When you submit content via the forms available on this website. We only use that information for the purpose it was intended.  We may collect the site visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection.

Cookies

A cookie is a little piece of information handed to a web browser from a web server that contains information that can be retrieved from the server later. When you visit our website, the server may attach a cookie to your computer’s memory.

Our website does not store or capture personal information, other than logging the user’s IP address and session information such as the duration of the visit and type of browser used. This information is automatically recognised by the web server and is only used for system administration and monitoring website traffic. Uploading media

If you upload images to the website, you should avoid uploading images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS) included. Visitors to the website can download and extract any location data from images on the website.

If you have send us personal information, you can request to receive the information we hold about you. You can also request that we erase any personal data we hold about you. Google Analytics

We use a tool called “Google Analytics” to collect information about use of this site. Google Analytics collects information such as how often users visit this site, what pages they visit when they do so, and what other sites they used prior to coming to this site. We use the information we get from Google Analytics only to improve this site. Google Analytics collects only the IP address assigned to you on the date you visit this site, rather than your name or other identifying information. We do not combine the information collected through the use of Google Analytics with personally identifiable information. Although Google Analytics plants a cookie on your web browser to identify you as a unique user the next time you visit this site, the cookie cannot be used by anyone but Google. Google’s ability to use and share information collected by Google Analytics about your visits to this site is restricted by the Google Analytics Terms of Use and the Google Privacy Policy.
