Central and Regional Induction and Orientation Programs

These programs are conducted to prepare neophyte staff to Northern Territory for work and life in their new schools and communities. Issues addressing living and working in cross-cultural contexts are a significant component of these programs.

English as a Second Language (ESL) in Anangu Schools and ESL in the Mainstream

Two teacher inservice programs which assist teachers to further develop their knowledge and understandings of working in cross-cultural contexts.

Mentor Induction Professional Development

The Northern Territory Mentor Program provides Aboriginal teachers with support to enhance their commencement as classroom teachers and later to assist their undertaking of education leadership responsibilities as senior members of their school staff.
