Grievance Resolution Policy for Employees (1998)

This policy ensures that human resource management practices continue to address the needs and rights of all employees. It provides clear and fair avenues of redress for grievances, based firmly on legislative requirements and best practice.

All facets of unlawful discrimination and victimisation are addressed in this policy. The policy also includes a framework for addressing grievances from parents and students against employees.

Schooling Outcomes of Students from Non-English Speaking Backgrounds: An Overview of Current Issues and Research

Understanding current schooling issues for students from non-English speaking backgrounds involves not just an examination of findings on retention at school and participation in higher education. The quality of participation at school also needs to be examined.

This report refers to a wide range of recent Australian studies and draws on overseas experience to identify the factors which contribute to a supportive learning environment for students from non-English speaking backgrounds.

Sexual Harassment and Anti-Racism Policies Handbook (1998)

This booklet provides employees with an understanding of their rights and responsibilities in relation to sexual and racial discrimination and harassment. It provides guidelines for principals and other managers involved in investigating complaints.
