Monitoring and reporting

All Commonwealth-funded programs are reported on at regular intervals. School and state monitoring processes, such as statewide literacy and numeracy testing, establish baseline data.

ESL Scales provide a means of assessing and reporting literacy development for students for whom English is a second language. The IESIP Funding Agreement published in the Australian National Schools Report covers Aboriginal studies, parent involvement and professional development. The Indigenous Education Consultative Body participates in the monitoring of programs and projects.
